Jacinta Fabbo! There are some awesome packages for those areas as well which is handy!
21 Aug 2006 12:49 PM
Kimberley they say the ppl there are very friendly
21 Aug 2006 02:27 PM
Jacinta yeah thats part of the reason we want to go there! When we were at the commonwealth games this year we had some nuie athletes/officals sit with us during an event and they were so friendly and welcoming that we thought we would investigate, we also found that less people visit these places then the normally honeymoon destinations so we would have more of the islands to ourselves!! ;-P

EmmyLou I'm all up for going somewhere different but H2B is about cautious about us going os now coz of the latest terrorism upgrade.

To be honest, there's as much chance of something happening here as anywhere else. There is a spy base only a few k's away from Geraldton. If they're gonna hit anything around here that will be it...

Kimberley i know how he feels before all this stuff had happened i would have been thrilled to go to bali but now i'm not only worried about terrorism but just the political unrest...

Jacinta My personal motto is to not let them stop you as soon as they do they essentially have won!! But my theory isnt for every one!!
22 Aug 2006 06:53 PM
vogue I believe if you are meant to go then you will no matter where or when.
23 Aug 2006 08:51 PM
Kimberley hmmmm....my theory is your a dill if you don't take heed of warnings!!
24 Aug 2006 01:22 PM
Jacinta exactly vogue although i agree with kimberley to some extent if a warning has been issued you should take it in to consideration!

EmmyLou Chantal,

We are looking at doing the same as we have pretty much everything.....I haven't looked too far into it tho... I have heard that some places charge a fee - one I've heard of is that the stationery etc that they supposedly provide, you actually have to pay for and another is that when people purchase something for you, they also have to pay a fee....

Let me know what you find out.
Thanks

Chantal Hi Em
We are looking at possibly staying at Aggie Gray resort and spa - i saw it advertised on line $1495 for 10 days...i cant looking into it too much - we cant do our honeymoon registry until May.

i cant beleive they are charging for stationery???!!! what with that!!!

i think I looked at Airpacific, flight centre and do a google search for Aggie Grey's and also harveyworld travel group.

Let me know, how you go - if you find any information send me an email and i'll do the same cgrigsby@tpg.com.au

Thanks Em

missy we decided not to do the honeymoon registry because apart from the fact the travel agents take 9% for themselves, they also told us a lot of people won't pay money off your honeymoon until like the week before your wedding so if you have booked an OS trip in the hope you will get enough to pay for it but can't by yourselves (which would have been us) you are up the creek if either not much is paid off or you bank on people paying early and you end up out of pocket as they need full funds a while before the honeymoon.
What we are doing is saying (in a nice way) on a little card with our invitations that we haven't included a gift registry but should you wish to give a wedding gift we would be very greatful to receive a contribution to our honeymoon...in other words..we would like money!
We figure that way we have already paid for the honeymoon flights/accom ourselves but will get spending money from our 'gifts' and what is left over we will put away for a rainy day. We have both been living out of home since 17 and have a house together so there is not much point receiving the usual toasters etc.
